Park City
Friday 25 February 1994

Weather

Very warm, some sleet/snow overnight. Two to three inches of new wet snow. Mostly sunny throughout the day.

Conditions

Snow conditions very good at higher elevations, rather sticky and heavy lower down the mountain.

Overall

Overall this was a good day, but Jenny did break here arm!

In the morning, I started skiing with Cathy. The fresh powder on Willy's Run looked inviting from the lift. When we started down the run it was very heavy and cut up. We moved on to some of the runs off King Con lift.

We all met for lunch at the summit rather than the foot of the mountain and after lunch, we ALL skied down Claimjumper together.

After the youngsters all went off for their lessons, Sue and I went down the top of Claimjumper again and while Sue finished the run and ordered the coffee, I took a quick trip back up the Prospector lift and back down.

Finally, we skied gently all the way down to the bottom. It was the perfect end to a great day, sunset at Cookie Bear, when Jenny arrived holding her arm and accompanied by her instructor. She had fallen at the bottom of Prospector slope.

The medical service was superb. Even though they were dealing with a serious neck injury at the same time, within about half an hour Jenny was X-rayed, diagnosed as having a broken wrist and put in plaster.
